Woodring's Meadowfoam blossom honey is our scarcest honey varietal and is recognized by it's aromatics of Madagascar vanilla, cotton candy and fresh marshmallow. In the Willamette Valley of Oregon, you will find the Meadowfoam plant, a low growing herbaceous winter annual when at full bloom has a solid top of creamy white blossoms.
Meadowfoam honey pairs well with tangy cheeses like goat cheese and feta. You can add to the cheese platter some toasted pine nuts, Granny Smith apple slices, figs and grapefruit suprèmes.
When adding wine, I would recommend a citrussy white like a Sauvignon Blanc, dry Riesling or an unoaked Pinot Grigio. You can also enjoy with a fruity red such as a Beaujolais.
